"Medical waste is generated in medical treatment, pharmaceutical, and veterinary institutions, as well as by residents — expired, no more used drugs, spray bottles, sharp tools (syringes, needles, scalpels), mercury thermometers. Medical waste is hazardous due to its specific biologic activity. Unused medical preparations may develop toxic compounds in combination with other waste, and thus may pollute waters and air, and may be harmful to other living organisms. Much of the medical waste is classified as infectious or of biologic hazard, and may cause severe infectious diseases.
JSC BAO ensures a full cycle of medical waste management services.
